Thames Water - London Tideway Tunnels (South)

Saracen Interiors has recently completed its second major office fit out at The Point, the £51m flagship office development designed by Terry Farrell and Partners to provide a new gateway to Paddington Basin.

Having fulfilled the requirements of the previous brief, Saracen was asked to return to The Point to fit out a further 9,000 sq ft area.

The Point boasts a distinctive wedge shape design, akin to the bow of a ship but with the additional feature of a central atrium. The unusual footprint of the building alone presented Saracen with a considerable challenge in terms of space planning and this was exacerbated further by the incorporation of a chilled ceiling as part of the building’s HVAC system. The installation enhanced the green credentials and BREEAM rating of the building but also limited the layout design possibilities.
