	Latest News... 15-02-2010 Creating an office Partitioning installation specialists have completed a project in an office based in Islington, London, to create a new office/conference room.  Existing light fittings were adjusted to accommodate the new dry jointed glass partitioning and an obstructive existing mounted conduit was overcome by the formulation of a bulkhead.

 

Office Suspended Ceiling Systems

There are many different types of suspended ceiling systems from conventional ceiling tiles (supported by either a hidden or exposed suspension grid or a metal frame) to smooth continuous plasterboard ceilings or possibly a Stretch Ceiling. These different types of suspended ceiling can be used to provide a striking workplace from lowered features over designated areas to curved or even vaulted complete ceilings.

Fundamental questions you will need to ask when choosing a suspended ceiling as part of your office fit out:

1. What is my budget?
    
2. What type of ceiling should I choose? Will a level horizontal lay-in suspended ceiling grid system compliment the interior design of the office or will a contoured ceiling provide a better solution where design and style are required?
    
3. What level of sound transmission is required in the commercial or office workplace and which suspended ceiling system has good acoustic properties?
    
4. Is access required to services run in the void between the suspended ceiling and structural ceiling?
    
5. Greater emphasis is now placed on the design of better office lighting solutions. Does the suspended ceiling need to have good reflective properties or does the ceiling need to support strong directional lighting as may be required in Reception Areas, Showrooms and Retail Areas?
    
6. Will the design of the Reception Area convey the right corporate image to our Customers? Is a contoured ceiling required over the Reception or Visitors Area?
    
7. Timescale - the length of a project is usually based on the anticipated occupancy date of the end user.
