December 2009

Full glass partitioning for client in Wimbledon

Saracen are currently accommodating a client based in Wimbledon.  The supply and installation of full glass partitioning will allow the London based client's offices to be doubled in number, allowing alterations to the internal departmental set up.  Electrical, lighting and ceiling items are being adjusted to suit the new layout and has been adapted where appropriate.


Camberley School Fit Out

Saracen fitted out a school in Camberley, Surrey with a new reception.  The bespoke furniture was made to suit the existing room requirements and to make best use of the space available.


November 2009

Farnham office re-design

Saracen has presented a partitioning design and concept to a Farnham based client. The Surrey based company will proceed with their full glass partitioning to provide additional office and meeting room provision to suit their new requirements.


Listed Buildings

Saracen Office Interiors is currently surveying and providing their knowledge and experience to companies leasing and purchasing listed buildings in London, Hampshire and Surrey. October 2009

First aid at work - new training regime comes into force

Saracen have been asked to advise their customers of the new training legislation which comes into force from 1st October 2009. This new legislation includes revised guidance for employers and revised guidance for first aid training organisations.


Receptions for the healthcare industry

Saracen have been called upon by doctor and dental practices in Surrey and Hampshire. Saracen are designing a number of receptions for the healthcare industry according to tight timelines and budgets.


Office furniture sourced from overseas

Saracen have sourced office furniture from overseas to suit the requirements of their client, the Internet Car Showroom, who are based in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.


September 2009

Staff washrooms installed for local school

Saracen recently refurbished and fitted out the staff toilets at Portesbery School in Camberley, Surrey. A cost effective solution was provided which allowed for the replacement of toilets, sinks, wall coverings and all the required plumbing. Quarry tiles were removed and after levelling the floor, heavy duty vinyl sheet flooring was installed.


Alterations for solicitors in Surrey

Saracen recently carried out alterations to the First Floor of Herrington & Carmichael’s Camberley office. The solicitors based in Surrey were provided with designs to incorporate new meeting rooms, separating the existing main conference room as well as extending an existing meeting room.

Manifestation was chosen and applied to the glass doors to reinforce the company’s logo and to provide identification for each meeting room.

The work also included the removal and repositioning of floor boxes and other power and data.


August 2009

Return to Farnborough Airport

Saracen returned to Farnborough Airport to carry out work for Corporate, FlightSafety International. Having designed an open plan layout for the Marketing Department, Saracen completed the fit out and supplied furniture to match other departments within the pilot training centre.

A new design for Park Primary

Park Primary has contacted Saracen to carry out a fit out of its Deputy Head’s Office. The requirements include furniture and built-in storage to streamline the room as well as some glass partitioning with manifestation placed to hide necessary cables and electrics. Saracen returns to Park having already completed their ICT Suite space planning and fit out last year.


Saracen returns to The Point

Saracen Office Interiors are the official contractors appointed for an additional office fit-out at Paddington the Point, covering a further 9,000 sq ft of office space. The original fit-out demonstrated the professional expertise, knowledge and project management skills, meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations and reinforcing the cost effective solutions that Saracen offers its customers.


Teachers to benefit from enhanced Staffroom

Mytchett Primary School has confirmed it has chosen Saracen Office Interiors to carry out the alterations it requires for its staff room.  Staff discussed their requirements with a Saracen Project Manager to ensure they have the flexibility to maintain a consistent design and appearance and to meet the staff’s current requirements despite the limited space and budget available.


From Euston to Northamptonshire

Saracen carried out a number of tasks for Redrow Regeneration and Redrow Homes during June 2009. It provided a flexible approach to Redrow’s office move requirements, moving from London Euston to Northamptonshire over a weekend to avoid disturbance to the working day due to the need to breakdown and reinstall all furniture, equipment and storage. Saracen provided additional support, help and guidance during the move to ensure it ran smoothly and efficiently and to the timescale made available.

Paddington Green refurbishment

Paddington Green Primary School in London was transformed when Saracen made alterations to the main school building.

The Ground, First and Second Floors were refurbished, including the staff meeting rooms, work areas, their drama store and the staff office.

The areas were refurbished to allow for clean and efficient working space with a modernised appearance – the dated fireplaces, sinks and inset lights were all removed.

New surface mounted lights were supplied and installed to provide both direct and indirect light in accordance with rules and regulations for visual environment and display screen use.

New doors and flooring now feature as well as partitioning to make the most effective use of the space available. Key adjustments were made to the ceiling.

The work areas now include bespoke workstations, pedestals and shelving and the new surface mounted dado trunking proved not only cost effective, but far easier to be accessed by staff.


Saracen supports CHASE

Saracen Office Interiors will be supporting CHASE hospice care for children in their Bring £1 to work fundraising day on Friday 26th June 2009. Staff, suppliers and clients have all been encouraged to get involved in this activity to help raise vital funds for this vital community service.

CHASE provides nursing, practical and emotional support to families with children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday across South West London, Surrey and Sussex.

Saracen has been supporting a number of charities including Cancer Research UK when Jo Hopkins took part in the Race for Life at Guildford, Surrey on June 6th 2009.


Air Conditioning for all sectors

Saracen continues to install and supply air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as continuing to maintain the systems for its clients – current and new.

Recent work has included air con installation and services for clients based in London including sites in Paddington, Beckton, Camden and Clapham.

We also continue to support clients based in West Byfleet and Egham in Surrey.


Server Room requirements

A power management company based on Aerospace Boulevard in Farnborough, Hampshire consulted Saracen to make the necessary alterations to their ground floor server room.

Saracen removed partitioning from some areas as well as fitting new solid metal stud partitioning with acoustic insulation. The necessary extractor units and air intake vents were installed to the server room as well as the installation of relocated furniture.

In addition, a solid core door and all its ironmongery were provided and installed and with the final touches being made to the interior decoration.

New office, New Furniture

In March, Saracen returned to their Alton based client to provide additional furniture and screens for their new Hampshire offices. The client was keen to ensure the furniture met their requirements and was consistent with the quality they have installed at their previous offices.


Improved Space Planning for School’s Reception & Offices

Saracen has designed and installed a new reception and office area for a school located in Camberley, Surrey. The design met the client's requirement by making better use of the space available. Cost effective bespoke office furniture was proposed and installed to allow for efficient storage and working areas.


Multi-functional Meeting Room

Saracen recently supplied and installed a COMPACTA folding wall system at their client's offices in Heston, Middlesex.

The wall has allowed the separation of the existing conference/meeting room and single office, allowing for a larger capacity conference meeting room as required by the client.

The MFC finished wall consists of five panels which fold to one end. It is supported via a bottom roller with top guide track and was laboratory tested to ensure it met the client's sound proofing requirements.


Shortlisted for the AIS Contractors' Award

Saracen have received confirmation that they have been shortlisted for the AIS Contractors' Award after the judges visited their client's site and viewed their workmanship. The AIS Contractors Awards are presented annually to promote and encourage high levels of craftsmanship in seven categories to which Saracen features in the Interior Fit Out category.

Enhanced Conference Room

Saracen returned to their client's offices in Egham, Surrey to enhance their second floor Conference Room.

The Egham office underwent a complete fit out early last year but the Conference Room required some further adjustments to accommodate the client's new requirements.

The internal decoration was updated using neutral colours to complement the client's branding and decoration within the other office space.

The flooring was replaced with Interface Entropy tufted tip sheared heavy contract carpet tiles to allow for wear and tear and to carry through the style laid throughout the rest of the second floor. The previous carpet tiles have been collated for recycling.


Saracen enhance learning environments

Saracen Office Interiors recently completed their latest success in the education arena. Park Primary School in Aldershot enhanced their ICT Suite by having it re-designed to double the number of workstations available for the pupils. Saracen designed the suite to incorporate furniture and equipment in order to give pupils necessary access to many forms of information and communication technology.

Other projects for schools have included the design and space planning of an ICT suite for Watchetts School in Camberley as well as the supply and fit-out of furniture. Dave Kimber, ICT Technician at Watchetts commented: “The suite has now been up and running for almost two years and has dramatically changed the way ICT is used within the school.”

Saracen continues to provide its services including reception furniture to schools in Virginia Water, Farnham, Godalming as well as receiving increasing demands from schools in the local counties and in London.


A Training Solution for Facility Managers (continued)

Saracen Office Interiors implemented Phase One and Phase Two of their proposed office refurbishment plans, providing Qube Global Software's offices in West Byfleet with a fully-focused training area which allows their customers to eliminate work distractions and to network and formulate ideas in a learning environment where software training is maximised to its fullest.

A Training Solution for Facility Managers

One of the most significant suppliers of property and facilities management software, Qube Global Software, approached Saracen Office Interiors in 2008 to implement and install their internal office adjustments.

Qube Global Software provide software systems which bring increased revenue, increased efficiency, reduced costs and full access to vital information for each and every sector of the property industry including large organisations such as the NHS, the BBC as well as shopping centres and hotels.

ICT is of primary importance to Park

Park Primary School, Aldershot, underwent a re-fit of their current ICT Suite. Saracen Office Interiors designed a new suite which provided nearly double the number of workstations for pupils than it had done previously. The suite now incorporates furniture and equipment to give the pupils the necessary access to many forms of information and communication technology.

A mark of quality - Saracen becomes an AIS approved member

Saracen has reinforced its high quality workmanship and refurbishment/fitting out skills by gaining membership confirmation from The Association of Interior Specialists (AIS) after a thorough vetting of its work at a client's site in Egham, Surrey. The Trade Association represents companies involved with all aspects of interior fit-outs and refurbishments. Managing Director, Martin Page said "Our AIS membership approval demonstrates and reinforces the quality and excellence Saracen provides in its office solutions such as design, space planning, office and commercial refurbishment/refitting and office furniture."
