Saracen News Archive 2008December 2008 Saracen "gets to the Point" Having tendered against key competitors and won, Saracen started the refurbishment project for a prestigious client at The Point, Paddington in London. The office shell is to be completely fitted-out with designs and space planning tailored to meet the client's requirements. Saracen continue their established relationship with this client by providing the office solution for their London based headquarters. November 2008 Servicing the defence and security sector Leading international defence and security technology company, QinetiQ, are undergoing a refurbishment of their Conference Room on the Mezzaine Floor of Building A1 at their Farnborough offices in Hampshire. Saracen is installing glass partitioning as well as ceilings, lighting and power to fit the customer's requirements. Providing office training solutions One of the most significant suppliers of property and facilities management software in the world has selected Saracen to carry out the refurbishment/refit of their ground floor and to refit its first floor training rooms. Qube Global Software was keen to find a solution to create the most appropriate environment for the training of Facility Managers at their West Byfleet site in Surrey. October 2008 A mark of quality - Saracen becomes an AIS approved member Saracen has reinforced its high quality workmanship and refurbishment/fitting out skills by gaining membership confirmation from The Association of Interior Specialists (AIS) after a thorough vetting of its work at a client's site in Egham, Surrey. The Trade Association represents companies involved with all aspects of interior fit-outs and refurbishments. Managing Director, Martin Page said "Our AIS membership approval demonstrates and reinforces the quality and excellence Saracen provides in its office solutions such as design, space planning, refurbishment/refitting and office furniture". Luxury showroom furniture With selection from its large portfolio of office furniture, Saracen provided The Internet Car Showroom Ltd in Hartley Wintney, Berkshire with the luxury surroundings they desired to meet their customers' expectations. September 2008 A clear choice Independent financial advisors, Clarity, purchased office furniture for its offices in Woking. Saracen supplied appropriate furnishings to suit Clarity's customer base of both companies and private clients. Inspired recruit Saracen Saracen supplied recruitment agency, Inspired Selection, with additional office furniture to add the finishing touches to its Regent Street located offices. Language learning software experts return to Saracen Rossetta Stone has requested additional office furniture for its offices in Clapham. Saracen originally worked with Rossetta Stone when it facilitated their complete office move and office interior design. “Stirring up” interest from a national charity Saracen assisted charity, The Wooden Spoon Society, by supplying reasonably priced office furniture to kit out their Surrey based administration offices in September 2008. The Frimley office acts as the centre for the charity's committee meetings and the furniture needed to be professional and cost effective. August 2008 Aviation training company enhances facilities FlightSafety International, based at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire is to continue to invest in Saracen's professional and quality services to carry out their office interior requirements. Tried and tested Saracen is pleased to use its specialist skills to assist a Richmond based software testing company, Testing Circle, with the necessary alterations to its ground floor offices. The offices in Middlesex are to be redesigned to feature a new IT/Server Room, meeting room and executive office. Integrated office space First floor office space is to be re-designed to incorporate IT storage as well as an integration suite for education event provider, Kavanagh, in Bracknell, Berkshire. Saracen's expertise in partitioning, flooring and air conditioning will feature in the project as it meets its new customer's requirements. July 2008 Office furniture demands on the increase With its large portfolio of office furniture and a reputation for visual appeal, flexibility and durability, Saracen are providing customers in Aldershot, Slough, West Byfleet, Cobham and Bagshot with their office furniture requirements during July. New customers include signage, cargo, estate agents and property companies, in the regions of Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. Estate Agents move forward with their office design Saracen's finalised its refurbishment of independent estate agent, Warren Powell Richard's high street offices in Alton, Hampshire. Saracen transformed the front of shop and redesigned the office, installing suspended ceilings, partitioning, flooring, lighting, signage and office furniture, allowing an increase in efficiency and performance. An international Saracen Saracen is to complete its refit for The Columbian Embassy's offices based in Westminster, London in July. The Columbian Embassy's third floor offices and reception have been re-designed and partitioning, lighting, power and data cabling will enhance efficiency and provide a modern and professional appearance. Reception to reflect the corporate image Saracen has provided designs to Vio Worldwide, based in Islington, London for a new and larger reception area to properly reflect their corporate image and to provide new cafeteria facilities and office space. This will incorporate the use of specialist silicon glazed partitioning, carpeting and specialist flooring in the reception area. Vio Worldwide provide advertising workflow tools and services to agencies, production companies and media owners. Major Fit out for Facilities Management Software Company Qube Global Software - a major supplier of facilities management software - was created from the merger of Fraser Williams Commercial Systems, FDS Advanced Systems and Estate Computer Systems. They have now asked Saracen to provide space planning and design for their UK Headquarters building in West Byfleet, Surrey. This is to include specialist training rooms, customer support offices and further support facilities on the ground floor in addition to a full fit-out of the first and second floors. The project also requires a front entrance canopy, a new entrance door, a reception door together with an external pedestrian entrance gate. June 2008 A sweet choice Kinnerton Confectionery, the UK's largest independent company operating in the field of children's and adult confectionery novelties, based in London, have asked Saracen conduct space planning and a design study to create additional glazed partitioned office space to match their existing structures. PML Flightlink requests designs for second building Impressed with the designs produced by Saracen for their new HQ offices in Alton, PML have asked Saracen to produce designs for their second building, also based in Alton. This is for a full fit out and includes a prototype design office and laboratory space. The designs include partitioning, flooring, suspended ceilings, air conditioning, lighting, power and data cabling together with office furniture with specialist flooring to the Laboratory and Comms areas. Executive Office Furniture for local developer Heronsbrook Homes, part of the Wooldridge Group, have asked Saracen to supply and install executive furniture for their new HQ offices at Bagshot in Surrey. Telecoms company requires additional space due to growth Successful telecoms company, Viatel, need additional space in their offices at Egham due to expansion. Saracen has been asked to conduct space planning with a view to creating new designs to increase occupancy for Viatel for its current need and for the future. This design includes alterations to partitioning, decoration, suspended ceilings and flooring together with power and data cabling and office furniture. Additional project for Redrow Homes After the successful fit out of Redrow Homes (Southern) HQ offices in Basingstoke, Hampshire, Saracen have been asked back to make alterations to the second floor to create further executive offices. This project is to include glazed partitioning & the decoration of the new offices. May 2008 Church Upgrade Saracen have sucessfully completed alterations to the library area at Guildford Baptist Church in Surrey and have created a break-out area for visitors with two offices as well as an office equipment area for faxes and photocopiers and other office hardware by the imaginative use of glazed partitioning. Manufacturers HQ fit out Major motor manufacturing company, PML Flightlink have asked Saracen to provide design studies and quotations for the space planning and fit-out of their Headquarters offices in Alton, Hampshire. The major fit out is to include glass and standard partitioning, decorations, carpeting & flooring, suspended ceilings, furniture, lighting, power & data cabling and air conditioning to offices throughout the building, conference rooms and reception area as well as a new kitchen and software laboratory. April 2008 Work Wall Saracen have incorporated the new Komfort Work Wall into their designs for their prestigious clients HQ offices in Kensington, London. March 2008 Innovative Reception Carpeting Qualcomm, an international wireless communication organisation, have asked Saracen to produce innovative designs for the carpeting of three reception areas in their prestigious Farnborough offices, Spectrum Point, in Hampshire. The designs are to be in keeping with their position as a world leader in the technology industry. In the final Saracen is one of two finalists, narrowed down from 8 quotations, in a bid to win the full refurbishment of the grade II listed, barn style offices of prestigious Berkshire Consulting Group. Saracen have won through to the final two bids, against tough competition, due to their dynamic designs and sensitive response to the customers requirements. Office upgrade for major transport company Atkins Transport, have requested designs for the refurbishment of their offices, ATM House, near Guildford, Surrey. The requirement is to carry out space planning of their offices and includes the creation of a new conference room and the updating of the reception area. Carpeting, partitioning, decoration and furniture are required, as well as specialist flooring for heavy use industrial areas such as the MOT Testing Offices. Space planning and refurbishment for City offices A leading international corporate and investor communications consultancy, Cubitt Consulting, have requested designs for the refurbishment and space planning of their City of London offices. Their aim is to improve the office function by optimising the layout of the offices using careful space planning. The refurbishment will include silicon jointed partitioning, storage, lighting, office furniture, decoration and specialist reception flooring. February 2008 African theme for music organisation The MOBO Organisation, an organisation that seeks to hightlight and celebrate the influence of music of black origin, has requested designs for the refurbishment of their London offices. The design is to have an African theme in keeping with the company's profile and is to include decoration, carpeting, flooring and furniture. Full fit out for new European Headquarters in Egham The Warranty Group - TWG Ltd - have commissioned Saracen to undertake a full fit out and refurbishment at Integra House, Egham which is to be their new European Headquarters. This includes lighting, flooring and carpeting, air conditioning, power and data cabling & decoration, together with a new kitchen, boardroom and reception. One of the main challenges of the project is the creation of a 24 x 7 server room with 40 kilowatt air conditioning with back up and an 80kVA UPS system linked to a diesel generator. This project was won due to the speed of Saracen's response, the quality of their designs and the ability to meet the very tight timescale of less than 6 weeks from initial visit to project completion. |
