Accounting Re-Fit
Plans for a complete re-fit for the south-east region accounts centre of a national firm of estate agents have been drawn up by Saracen. Keeping the client 'live'
To lay new carpeting at the 2000sqm open plan operations centre of one of the world's largest logistics company, Saracen will have to schedule the use of 'lifters' to raise each individual desk so that the carpeting can be laid with the minimum of disruption. The facility is 'live' 24 hours a day and cannot be cleared or closed to allow the work to take place.
Precision Planning
In a Victorian building with the original room layout, precise space planning by Saracen will enable a Hampshire-based wine shipper and supplier to accommodate additional staff following an acquisition.
Carpeting acts as a guide
For an auction house in London, Saracen are creating a flooring design which will guide people through the building by colour coding, with carpeting of different colours acting as a guide for visitors.

Different Focus
At the UK headquarters of Cameron, the US-based oil and gas products and services provider, Saracen have just started work on a new reception area to incorporate a plasma touch-screen system. This will serve as a "cyber receptionist", which will deflect the visitor from focusing on the area's unmanned status.
More people, same space

Standard Requirement
How many companies have even heard of EN 1264-1, a lighting standard which they have to meet? Even fewer know of the risk of prosecution by the Health & Safety Executive and the damages they might have to pay an aggrieved employee. Fanciful? Well, much the same was said about Repetitive Strain Injury before the claims came flooding in.
Roll-out starts
An interior design which can be rolled out by a chain of estate agencies has been prepared by Saracen Office Interiors, looking initially at outlets in Bath (a listed building), Glastonbury, Wells, and Shepton Mallet.

Savings made
Carpet tiles have to be laid in a specific direction - except for the Adaptions and the Straightforward ranges, sourced by Saracen for 1000sqm of offices over two floors at Heathrow.
