"What had happened is that when my chair arrived at Saracen, instead of just putting it on truck and delivering it to me, they took off all the packaging to inspect it first, and they weren’t satisfied by the stitching. When they told me, I came over to their showroom to see for myself, and to be quite honest, I couldn’t see there was anything wrong until they pointed it out to me. I can imagine that other suppliers would have dispatched the chair to the customer, or hoped the fault wouldn’t be noticed, in a few months time the stitching would have worked loose and the customer would have thought that maybe they were somehow to blame. Saracen sent the chair back to the manufacturer and got it replaced. What is more important than trust in any business relationship?"
